Anna Luna was born in Barcelona.
She started her career as professional singer in 1989 as a lead singer in different orchestras and big bands, performing in Spain and several other
european countries, performing swing, pop and latin styles.
After some years of intense activity, she decided to go her own musical direction forming her own groups and singing as an invited lead singer in several bands .
Her passion for Latin rhythms, rich harmonies and melodies makes her specialise in Jazz and Brazilian Jazz
In 1997 releases her first CD “Alguien” wich is co-producer and composer with the dutch saxofonist Menno Mariën . Her Spanish and brazilian roots took her to develope an original and personal style, clearly reflected in her compositions.
In ‘97 she forms a brazilian-jazz group and perform in the Jazz circuit of Barcelona and other regions and appears on spanish and italian television shows (TVE, TV2, TV3, TV5, RAI 1, Canal 9) among others.
In ‘99 gets in contact with italian musicians and begin performing and recording in this country. There she recorded her 2nd Cd “Jazidas”. Colaborating with the percussionist and drummer Roberto Faenzi and the guitarrist Carmelo Tartamella. Her 3rd Cd “Batida Diferente” ’03 produced and collaborating with Roberto Faenzi. In 2005 realized her 4th Cd with her Anna Luna Quartet “Spring is Here”with her Quartet : Jaume Vilaseca: piano, arrangements and musical direction, Curro Gálvez: Acoustic Bass and Roberto Faenzi : Drums and Percussion; In March 2007 releases her 5th project Anna Luna"Sketches" recorded in Udine (Italy)with her quartet and two great italian musicians Simone La Maida (Sax y Flute) and Massimo Morganti (Trombone)as special guests. Jazz standards arranged by the band and some adapted texts to spanish "A Night in Tunisia" "Firm Roots" or "If I Should Lose You" among others .
Studies
From age 8 years she studied piano and music examinating in Conservatorio de Sabadell (Barcelona).
Furthermore she will study modern harmony and piano with Elisabet Raspall, Susana Marín and Dany Rambla. Guitar with Andrea Grimaldi, Menno Mariën , Foly Lamas and George Dick.
Lyric vocal techniques with Fernando Bañó and Gloria Torres. Jazz vocal courses with Quim Prou Basta, Errol Woisky in "Taller de Músics" Barcelona.
From ’94 till 2000 she studied Flamenco Dance and rythms with "La Singla", Gloria Belén, Carmen Gómez and "La Tani", and “Cajón and flamenco styles” in “Taller de músics " with Juan Flores and Sergio Ramos. These were other artistic formations that influenced her style.

* She Won “XXVI Edizione del Festivale Internazionale della Canzone" (Italia '97) with one of her compositions “Luna”
* Several Tours from '99 in Italy : Calabria, Palermo, Milan, Bologna, Bérgamo, Venice, Verona, Padova, Cremona, Reggio Emilia, Vicenza, Mestre, Bescia, Ferrara among others.
